Ryan is commissioned

In March we found out my husband was picked up for LDO (Limited Duty Officer). We couldn't have been more surprised or excited. It really wasn't even on our radar other than him putting in the package. We really expected not to get our hopes up high but sometimes I think we don't give ourselves enough credit. My husband is great at what he does, he really loves what he does and it's shown throughout his Naval career. In October he was commissioned. He had an awesome ceremony and we had so many compliments over our guest speaker and the words he spoke during his ceremony. I actually got teary eyed because his words really touched me. In a packed room and within 30 minutes Ryan went from a Chief to an Ensign. I couldn't be more proud of him and he's really taken me for a ride throughout our journey as a Navy family. It hasn't always been easy but success should never come easy. He's worked hard from day one and I've trusted him every step of the way. We found out we were moving to Lemoore, California, a place I had never heard of before our options were given to us. I looked forward to the adventure, mostly because I love to travel and see new things and also, because I was an Air Force brat. I am excited to see what our next adventure brings.
Here is the link to the article that was written up about his commissioning.
